Verify a USDT payment from an AI agent
Short answer: call tron_verify_usdt_transfer with the transaction id (optionally expected recipient and amount) and pair it with tron_check_address_risk. Both are read-only MCP tools behind https://robotbase.cc/mcp; the first 5 risk/library calls per IP per day are free, then 1–10 credits over x402.
Two tools, one decision
tron_verify_usdt_transfer(txid, expected_to?, expected_amount_usdt?) answers: did the TRC-20 USDT transfer land, is it final, how much, from and to whom. tron_check_address_risk(address) answers: is the counterparty tainted, how old is the account, what is the 0–100 risk score.
Prompt an agent can send
Verify this TRON transaction: <txid>. Confirm the USDT amount is 25 and the
recipient is T... If it is not final or the sender is high risk, do not ship.
What comes back
- found / status: SUCCESS or FAILED; finalized: present on the solidity/irreversible chain.
- confirmations / blocks_until_finality: how close to finality.
- amount_usdt / from / to: decoded TRC-20 transfer, with expected values matched when supplied.
- source: our java-tron node inside its rolling ~6-day window, or TronGrid fallback for older transactions.
- risk: labels, account age and a 0–100 score from tron_check_address_risk.
Why not just a block explorer?
An explorer answers a human. These tools answer an agent: structured fields, explicit finality, expected-recipient/amount matching, and a risk signal in the same call path. The endpoint is read-only and never holds funds.
Cost
Both tools share the 5-calls/day/IP bucket with CyberLibrary; past that, risk is 1 credit and retrieval 1–2 credits, paid over x402. Free tier needs no wallet. TRON is a self-hosted lite full node with a rolling ~6-day window; older transactions fall back to TronGrid and the answer says which source replied.
FAQ
How do I verify a USDT payment with an AI agent?Call tron_verify_usdt_transfer with the transaction id and, optionally, the expected recipient and amount. It returns status, finality, amount and both addresses; pair it with tron_check_address_risk for the sender's risk score.
Is tron_verify_usdt_transfer free?It shares a 5-calls/day free bucket per IP with the other risk and CyberLibrary tools. Past that, 1 credit per call over x402.
What does finalized mean? The transaction is present on TRON's solidity (irreversible) chain, not just the latest block. The tool reports confirmations and blocks until finality.
Can it verify USDT on other chains? The USDT settlement tool is TRON-specific. On-chain transaction verification for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero and Zcash uses their own tools (btc_get_transaction, eth_get_transaction, xmr_verify_payment, zec_get_transaction).
